Stella Maris - Latin for "Star of the Sea".  This will be our new home for the foreseeable future.  We hope that this site will show our friends and family how this sailing adventure came into place and where it will take us.  It had been a dream of ours to be able to spend quality time with our kids in an environment that was free of hospitals.  As most of you know, that has been our circumstance for the past 16 years.  We had originally planned to go cruising on a sailboat when the kids were off to college.  But one day, after we all went to one of many boat shows we had attended; our kids were excited  looking at sailboats and talking about our sailing plans when our oldest son asked the magic question, "Why do you want to go without us instead of going all together?"  It all started right then and there...
